How To: The Layering 101
Inspired by other bloggers and Emma Watson’s recent first-day-back outfit snapped at Oxford University, I compiled a 101 guide for layering; a popular trend worn every day by people just like you and me. Not only does this key trend mean you can tap into multiple micro-trends, it is great for creating your own distinct style, regardless of what is in Topshop or “what everyone else has”.
1. More is less.

With layering, more is less. Opt for three or four thin layers – and I mean very thin – instead of two bulky layers. You don’t want to drown your frame, or add bulk to your silhouette: your aim is to flatter, not to hide. H&M, Topshop and Zara are especially good for thin, jersey pieces that are great to wear together, try this printed vest from H&M, a scallop hemmed Topshop vest, and a thicker-knit open-back T-shirt from Zara to weigh the layers down slightly.
